Femenity Exercise.
Empathy Excerises
Dear Diary,
I'm not sure how to brake this to Emily. She has been working so hard for this holiday.., but I guess I have to. and I should be so happy that Miranda asked me to come and assist her there, but I also feel bad for Emily, and then Miranda giving me the duties of breaking it to Emily. Im not sure what im going to say and I'm really scared of what Emily is going to say, Emily isn't scared to say anything to me and she is already a stubborn person. Im not quite sure how to break to her . Like should I come up with the straight ' Miranda wants me to go to Paris instead of You. Sorry'
Empathy Exercises.
Dear Diary,
I am so furious. Miranda just hired a new assistant and as in at least a month into her job she is deciding to take Andy to Paris instead of me!
I have been preparing for this Holiday for so long, i have been starving myself to fit into clothes to buy there, I have done everything for Miranda and this is how she repays me. I have done everything she has told me to do, everything she has put me through and this is what happens.
I have learnt every name, every designer possibly everything i should kn0w.
Andy knows how hard i was working for this holiday, working my guts out to have enough money and now I'm not going.
And I'm especially angry because she broke it to me while i was in hospitable, like could she have chosen a worse time?

Maycomb Country 1930s vs Our Home Towns 2010
As I have grown up here I moved to three different houses, got different jobs, owned different pets, and made new friends everywhere I go. I grew up in Robina then moved to Benowa where I changed schools back to St Hilda’s.
Everywhere you go on the gold coast the smell and feelings you get are different. When you’re near the beach it’s a salty ocean smell which some people like and some people hate. Then you get to the dirtier part of the gold coast and the smell is horrible were sometimes it smells like garbage bins.
The surf is amazing and there’s always people out there trying there best. The Gold coast holds some of the best events and especially Life Saving Clubs and Competitions. Every weekend the gold coast has some special event on so it’s never boring. There are theme parks for when it’s hot or cold.

Letter- white perspective from 1930s
i am writing to you from the 1930s in the great depression stage.
life back here in the 20th century is very different compared to the 21st century where you are now!
back here our familys are considered good familys if our fathers have jobs.
not many familys have money at the moment so our lifes are consisting on very little feeds for each meal and cant buy new clothes or toys or any essentials that are needed.
everyone has atleast one or two maids to help our mothers stayed home and familys also had a nurse and cook.
Good familys are also good church members which i see now in the 21st century not as many familys attend church like they did here in the 20th century.
Good familys were also judged on the accents and how they talked.
The 20th century is very different to the 21st century seeing as people in the century you live in have high definition televisions which is very important to some familys seeing as everything is showed and based on television these days!
You have ipods and mobile phones, home phones are wireless and there are many changes on the way children were brought up and many more laws than we had.
Movie theaters wernt open on sundays and they didnt have air-conditioning.
Children had good manners and most children wernt even allowed to say shut-up.
Children in the 21st now say the most rudest things without even getting punished!
Back in my day children wernt even allowed to joke or be sarcastic, and now everything is based on jokes and sarcasm.
Parents never said bad words and little girls wernt allowed to raise their voices.
Normally little girls didnt resolve to violence and speech was a important part of their lives.
They were pulled up and corrected all the time so that they had amazing speech and manners.
Girls had sunday dresses and when they became to small they were made into everyday dresses.
Girls these days were mini shorts with half of their body revealed in places it shouldnt be.
Girls in the 20th century had restirctions on what they could wear and they would never disobey there parents.
No one ever went anywhere barefoot and they always had shoes on, even to go outside.
There was a strict code on girls not allowed to fight even play fight but it was alright for boys because its still got the phrase even now in the 21st century 'boys will be boys.'
They also were strict on their grammer and wernt allowed to talk like the black children they played with.
Girls were never allowed to say the word 'pregnant'
Our world was much more care-free and gentler.
Every didnt have anger issues and everyone was nice to each other!

In Flanders Field.
In Flanders Field
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
In
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
John McCrae
List some of the descriptive words the poet uses and explain why they are effective.
Some of the descriptive words that the poet uses are
- Quarrel, faith, scarce. These words are effective because it puts outs a better message using more interesting words rather than using short words.
Why do you think the poet wrote this poem? What was he/she trying to achieve?
i think that the poet wrote this poem to remind people that the soldiers that fought in war will never be forgotton and if people wanted to pay their respects they could go to flanders fields.i also think that he was trying ti get to peoples head about how many soldiers died trying to fight for our country and not many people actually knew how many people actually passed away while fighting this war.
Write down your favourite line/lines from the poem. Explain why you picked them.
my favourite lines from this poem would have to be:
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky .
They are my favourtite lines because row by row between the crosses poppys are laid and set free marking their importance in the sky.
Does this poem ryhme?
No it doesnt.

War Poem
the days go past quickly.
and the nights go past lonely.
as the familys worry, the soldiers are fighting the countrys.
as they worry and pray for strength. and for survival.
the soldiers are there fighting for history.
soldiers fighting for their own country.
trying to protect the people that live here.
as soldiers go down one by one.
our country is getting stronger (L)
